On-Site Factory Visit in China Production Follow-Up for Vietnam Buyer’s Wood Panel Order

A sourcing representative from the independent Magaselect team recently conducted a one-day on-site factory visit to monitor the production progress of a batch of wood-based panels ordered by a Vietnamese buyer.

The visit was carried out at the manufacturing facility in China where the panels are currently being produced. The purpose of the visit was to follow up on production status, verify product specifications, and observe the factory’s processing workflow.

During the visit, the sourcing representative inspected multiple stages of production, including:

  • Raw board preparation
  • Surface treatment and finishing
  • Panel processing and handling
  • Quality inspection procedures

The on-site inspection also included checking the consistency of panel thickness, surface quality, and edge conditions, ensuring that the production aligns with the buyer’s expectations and the agreed specifications.

This type of factory sourcing visit and production follow-up provides overseas buyers with additional visibility into the manufacturing process. It helps confirm that production schedules are progressing normally and that quality control procedures are being implemented during manufacturing.

The visit forms part of the Magaselect Factory Visit & Buyer Sourcing series, which documents real sourcing activities such as:

  • Supplier assessment
  • Factory capability observation
  • Production follow-up
  • On-site quality checks

Although the visit was conducted by an independent sourcing team and not an official third-party inspection agency, the purpose was to offer practical insights and on-site observations for the overseas buyer.

Factory visits like this can help international buyers better understand how suppliers operate, how products are processed, and how production management is implemented inside manufacturing facilities.

As global sourcing continues to rely on transparency and communication, on-site factory visits remain an important part of supplier sourcing and procurement decision-making.
